CMI's work on a
gorgeous retrofit completely changed a 1998 Prevost LX from
a motor home to a state-of-the-art day coach. The
conversion, designed for a private owner, allows more space
and functionality for family members to travel on the bus
during short trips.
The bedroom, shower, water closet, washer dryer, dining
area, couches, almost everything, came out and was rebuilt
or redesigned.
The
bus kept its original look with all natural cherry
veneers and hardwoods. Centiva flooring was
installed throughout and all valances and window
posts were recovered.
The front lounge includes two
custom reupholstered leather sleeper couches and a 32” LCD TV
mounted in a new custom-built cabinet above the header. The AC
was rerouted to make room for the TV.
In
the galley area, the counter was removed and a
undermount sink and self -draining ice chest, under
floor trash drop, and granite counter top were
installed. The dinette table and chairs were
replaced with a built in dinette and an 26” LCD TV
was mounted on the wall above.
The vanity and
bathroom were
condensed and
the shower room
taken out.
All the plumbing
andelectrical
components were
streamlined into
one closet.
The rear
room was extended three feet forward and new sub flooring
installed. The room features a custom-built circle lounge
and two villa lounges, creating either a perfect meeting
area for friends and family or a comfortable place to sleep.
The area also includes
two 26” LCD TVs and
a complete high-end Denon sound system.
